I'd like to hear from Tmax owners on the subject of vibration, or lack thereof. I know the Tmax has a balancer piston. Is it effective?
Thanks,

It works, Firstly I have to say I do miss the vibration, that feel there is *cough* something beween your legs, had that with the X9-500
T-Max just glides along.. you hear the throaty sound *cough* behind you but no "feel" whats so ever..
Other than the WOW acceleration feel when you hit that throttle.. wooohooo thats makes up for it.. X9?? distant memory |

I have kept an X9 500 for my own use. Doing long journeys, this is my first choice. It has better weather protection, less buffeting around the head, a laid back single engine that sips fuel. and of course the PIC's.
The Tmax is approved by my SWMBO, she compares it to the smooth Pan-Europeans that I have owned. They seem to be a good motorcycle dressed up as a scooter, twin engine in the middle of the bike, low C.ofGravity, double yoke front forks with strong stantions, chain rear drive, very small length vbelt.
They have about the same storeage space.
Having just come back from an 1100 mile trip, I took the X9, it was the right choice for me (solo) but, if I had to take the wife, it would have to be the Tmax, the X9 is unstable with a passenger at slow turning speeds and over rough ground, not that we head for the woods these days. |

Unless a certain person is leading (I don't think he visits this forum?!?) |
